Story: The Creepy House

Hi everyone! I was going through my old stories, and I found this story I wrote in class six 🙈. Here it is... and, fine! Just read it 🙏😅 *** The door shut close! I ran inside and ducked into my blanket. I felt relieved...  I switched on my telly and watched my daily evening show. Suddenly the gate opened. It was Revis. “Hi Lily!” she said. “Hi!” I replied. “What are you doin’ here ?” she asked. “Marie and I are enjoying downstairs!” “Yeah I know, but I won’t go until that ghost-game is finished” I said, stubbornly.  “Ha! I remember. You were almost dead and John had peed in his pants!" she laughed. “Oh! Was I ?” I scoffed. Just then, the other two companions of mine burst into my room! “We have a surprise for you!”, they said, yelling and puffing. “We are going on a one-day trip, to the creepy bungalow that’s near our house!” Marie said. My mouth dropped open. And a chill went down my spine. “What if there will be GHOSTS ?” I asked, lookin’ a bit scared, you know. But just...

Book review: Unfinished- A memoir by Priyanka Chopra Jonas

You Gotta Finish “Unfinished”! It takes us just a second to rate an actor as the worst or as the best one.  All we see to judge that and to give our ratings is just one “flop” movie of the actor, which could be a “flop” movie from our point-of-view, as well. But after all, it isn’t us who write the script. Who gives their everything to play the character in the best possible way and then it isn’t us who put in all that money and efforts as a producer or the casting directors, or even as the cameramen.  It's all that happens at the back, and we don’t give a damn about it. We focus on what we see on the outside. But if you want to peek into the busy lives of actors, their struggle to reach all the way up to where they are right now, and to see how they toil themselves to try and give out their best of the best on the screen, read Unfinished: A memoir, by Priyanka Chopra Jonas.  This book is an autobiography, which takes you all the way back to the time when Priyanka ...

The Sun Will Rise Again

Hi everyone! We all know these are tough times and the second wave and the new strain of Covid-19 is really dangerous. We all need to take double care of ourselves. Though, by the way, I was seriously like, "Wasn't 2020 enough? 🙄". But if we look back at 2020, I think we all did a great job as a nation. Though we made mistakes, I think we can learn from them, can't we? If we just wear a mask, follow proper hygiene and sanitization, stay at home, and basically be responsible citizens, we can save many lives. But, apart from this, mental health is also important. Staying optimistic and hopeful is really crucial in these struggling times. Therefore, here is a poem I wrote: The Sun Will Rise Again, which will help y'all to look back at 2020, our struggles, but also at how we made it through. If we fought Covid last year, we can fight it this time as well, no matter how hard it might be. Staying united and positive is the need of the hour. Let's trust God, stay st...

Eating at home or outside?

Eating outside in restaurants is the best! Yum! That cheezy pizza, the juicy chicken wings, tacos, and what not! But eating the home-made not-so-cheezy pizza, trying the little bit burnt chicken wings at home, and eating tacos with a little bit more sauce in them, is also something I wouldn't want to miss out on. The experimental dishes at home or the addictive snacks of a restaurant? Home or restaurant? Home dishes or fast food? Oh, God! It’s hard for me to choose between these two but I'd go with home-made food this time! Sorry fast food :( Well, I mean fast food is bae, but these both--home-made and fast food--can't compete. And here, right now, someone with a bird brain only would want to miss out on the things I'm gonna tell about why home-made food is also no less than bae.  Well, starting with the biggest perk of eating at home, is that you can literally make anything! Just the right ingredients have to be bought. Whether it’s a tortilla, steak, a juicy chicken b...
